The best time to buy a gun was 40 years ago, the second best time is today. Quote from Jmcc.

Actually Jmcc the best time to buy a gun was 45 years ago. Prior to the grandfathering of full autos.

the price tag may make you think it is crazy let s talk about it in a year if no handguns are coming to us ... and we can still purchase.

It's a standard G19 Gen 4, and not even MOS.... It is crazy now, it will be crazy then.

Not knocking it. It is a decent gun, but maybe at 2x the msrp with the current craziness, not 10x the msrp, given what else is available.

As with yours, mine is just my option. I'm perfectly happy to see market forces rule the day, as they should. If someone can get these exorbitant prices from an informed buyer, all the power to them. I just would not want to see an uninformed, new buyer get screwed.

Jeff is clearly having a laugh here or maybe he nees the $$$ to put a down payment on that awful Limcat.

I believe you are correct here after seeing his replies.

19 fits my hands great but it will never be a $5k pistol in my mind

I’m all for free market but it definitely doesn’t add to the sense of “community” that this site use to known for. I have the same opinion as you and feel sorry for the new restricted licensees that are trying to acquire before the freeze. I’m pretty sure no informed gunnut is shelling out $5k for a glock19………. But it is the Canadian model and that laser etched maple leaf is worth big buck Laugh2

Heck, I’d sell my glock19 Canadian for $5k and throw in my 17 as a bonus

the value of a product will show like it or not and no dog in the fight ... price vs value is an interesting discussion.

per say there is no community do not fool yourself ... only 300 challenged s74 ...

Are we permitted to post ridiculously low prices on this thread? Because I think $625 for a cool 1980s-vintage Steyr GB with two mags is an absolute steal. I've got no affiliation with the seller but I was happy to pay more than that with mine a few years ago.

Edit: looks like someone snapped it up!
