Are we permitted to post ridiculously low prices on this thread? Because I think $625 for a cool 1980s-vintage Steyr GB with two mags is an absolute steal. I've got no affiliation with the seller but I was happy to pay more than that with mine a few years ago.

I saw that one. Certainly a steal for one of the original Wonder Nines.

All in that is a reasonable price actually. Several places were retailing those for over 1600 pre tax. Once out of stock, they were moving on EE for over $2k. Sounds like you are just regretting your pistol purchases period.

Never thought I'd say it, but I do miss the days of complaining about the price of guns I could still buy.
There is a few I ended up without because I refused to pay what people were asking, now it haunts me every day!

After re reading this thread it has reminded me that while there were may forum members that tried to take full advantage of their peers, there where some dealers that were much worse. I wonder, how many here have done business with those unscrupulous gougers in the time since the ban? I also wonder, how many of these scumbag dealers backed the recent CSAAA play?

I know this is a resurfaced thread, but my "favorite ridiculous handgun price" in 2024 is almost every generic 9mm handgun listing on GP. Sellers add things like "exempted buyers only, don't contact me if you aren't XYZ" and then stack the price to 200%+ of MSRP ...

Did they forget that "if we have an exemption" - guess what - we can still buy at MSRP (or less) from stores or auction!?

Make it make sense?

Think my favourite was the tisas 1911 a1 I bought during the panic buy for 800$ when they could be had in the states for 350$ ish I know that’s in usd but still, I love the gun but it’s not an 800$ gun
