Hi I am completely re-doing my gun walls, namely my stens, thompsons and PPSH41 etc etc.

I was wondering if those of you that have these as well could post some pics of your displays and ot how you mount them on the wall if applicable.

I want to put them up on the wall to display them and could use some examples of what you did to make your display wall.

Thanks

MC

Here is how I have done 2 of my gun room walls. 4' x 8' sheets of pegboard horizontally, since I have a small room and low ceilings. It isn't too pretty, but it could be painted or otherwise "fancied up". The great thing with pegboard is the flexibility and the fact the you can get pegs designed to hold lots of different things. Across the bottom of one of the walls, I have tapped nails into the bottom horizontal 2x2s and hung my bayonets between the pegboard and the floor. I have always been planning on buying some small diameter rubber tubing or heat shrink to put over the pegs, but I haven't gotten that far yet. If you are careful, the pegs don't mark the guns. The third from last photo is a partial view of the 3rd wall with basic rifle racks. The last 2 photos are of the 4th wall, with an upright rack for doubles, spares, junkers, etc and book shelves above.

Enfield, nice looking room! too bad you didn't have more space. Why not buy vinyl coated steel pegs? Frequent fondling with plain steel might leave marks.

My lord, can you fit any more milsurps in your basement, Enfield ? I think you are more than prepared for WW3. I thought I had alot of milsurps in my basement man cave but clearly I have been proven wrong (I wonder if that is a good thing for my wallet ?).

@canuck: Very nice display, I would love to have something like that next to my work computer. How do you keep the rifles from tipping over to one side ? Also, how are you mounting the bayonets ? I noticed one of your ladies is missing her trigger lock, is that your personal defense boom stick ;) ?

I sit 'em on their slings and tip them a little towards the wall. The trigger lock also protrudes a little and touches the wall, preventing over-tippage. :D The lockless rifle was just acquired at the time of the photo and I hadn't bought one yet.

PS. I would like to go on vacation in myenfield's room... with a large duffle bag...

PPS. The bayonets are just on the little hooks and nails.

thanks so far folks, I am thinking of the peg board but with a 4 inch pine board frame around it. Then led lights on the top of the frame aiming down. I,m going to run the cord from the lights down a brass pipe to the wall socket where I will have an old key box cut out over the wall socket to hide the cord more.

Then for the peg board I am thinking of wooden dowels cut off and drilled to accept the metal stainless steel peg board clips, basically instead of a shiny steel peg board clip a piece of doweling stuck over it.

Oh and as far as being lucky, sorry most are deacts by now but still want to display them properly

OUT-F*CKING-STANDING!!!

If only I had a "gun room" just a walk-in closet with a steel door, and It is FULL.
Even a basement would be nice but such is not the case. since most houses here don't have basements.:(

I feel real bad now because all my blood sucking Mil-Surps are nocturnal and hang from the ceiling in the basement.

Honest I got them all from a collector in Transylvania.
