** Your NEA102 build **

So for those who know the technical side of things what aftermarkets stocks can be installed on this?

From what I understand any 6 position milspec stock should slide over the factory buffer tube. People seem to think the newest generation of magpul prs should work as well. A2 stocks need to be the AR-10 kit I think... Maybe someone more versed in these areas can confirm? ;)

I just weighed the handguard. Take this with a grain of salt because my scale is only to the tenth of a pound, but I get 16 ounces for just the guard (not including the barrel nut and receiver extension) and it's 14" long so there's some really good weight savings to be had.

You can find a number of ultralight freefloat 13-15 inch handguards in the 7-10 oz range. Barrel nut and receiver extension are usually around 3 ounces. So you can easily shave a half pound off the end of the gun for a couple hundred bucks, that's pretty awesome.

EDIT: Weighed the factory CTR-like stock. It's light, like 7-ish ounces. So if you want a precision stock you're going to be gaining back quite a bit of weight.

Where can I find a Armalite AR-10 buffer and spring in Rifle length to try?

I.E. to add the A1/2 buttstock?

Hi Driller,

I kind liked the stock that was visible on the pre-release photos of what was circulated as the NEA 102 (the green one on a wood background). What do you know about that stock? Would it be any good?

That is a magpul acs if I am not mistaken. They are very good stocks.

By the time you get it at least you will know what works and what doesn't from people trying different ammo, parts, and other accessories with the rifle.

yah i k ew the trigger was gonna be horrible, i already have a wilson combat ttu squared away for it.

on the positive i can file my magazines down

if it is indeed milspec tube, i know from experience that on the sr25 using a proper ar10 standard rifle buffer tube that an a2 will fit, but you have to install without the spacer.

If you're installing it without the spacer, the screw would need to be trimmed down too to prevent buffer/screw impact?
