** Your NEA102 build **

Just did a little photo shoot.

First impressions - she's really front heavy, probably a lot to due with the fact that the handguard is built like a brick s#!thouse. Trigger is as expected. Some of the edges, especially the vertical front edges of the magwell are very abrupt and could benefit from a little extra chamfering/deburring.

Haven't fired it yet, but so far happy with my purchase.

Milspec Magpul CTR stock fit perfectly.

I also think the handguard is going to be the issue compared to my nimble g2.
I wonder if the midwest industries g2 rail would work. measurements are 1.5 inch outside diameter, 1.3 inch inside diameter

12 inch weighs 10.3 ounces:

15 inch weighs 11.7 ounces:

According to the FAQ thread the barrel nut is Armalite spec, so I guess as long the barrel nut is Armalite spec it's good to go.

That looks very interesting! If it works, let us know.

Thanks,

I have ordered aTimney trigger, Hogue pistol grip, Magpul CTR stock, precision armament brake for mine. I had the same equipment on my Windham Weaponry AR-10, and it was fantastic to shoot. I would like to put an adjustable gas block but i need to know the barrel diameter where the gas block sits to order the right one. The only thing I am missing is the rifle

I'm pretty happy with the Midwest Industries hand guard, have it on my 10.5". Super light, simple, functional, easy to install, not stupid expensive, and actually feels fine without all the crap I bolted on.

I may look into getting one for the 102 if I eventually get one.

I don't want to put ideas in tour head mr donut but the 102 would be a great base for a mk11 clone...
Wonder if parts compatibility would be an issue.
Just sayin'

Oh man, actually, I've already considered that as an option as well:

I even started window shopping the parts list but I'm doing my best to steer clear of another clone build.

But we'll see, lol!

I'd love that fixed stock. Non idea where to get that or what it is.
That scope looks like my nightforce 10x.

Or another note is there a magwedge coupler to xcr-m pistol magazines?

Yeah, like that stock as well. I have a regular A2 stock, but have no idea what that is, and quite frankly, I'm a bit scared to look up the cost od one of those ones, and the KAC handguard as well.

If I go for a clone build, I'll skip the Leupold fixed 10, or even a Mark 4 and probably throw at least something in FFP.

The KAC will be pricey as fack, best to go midwest, whats worse is that I have 2 KAC ar15 URX handguards just sitting collecting dust that I cant even trade on the EE cause nobody wants them. I guess KAC is no longer in style.

Brownels has a DPMS A2 308 stock, but I don't know about the spring and buffer and if it would work with the gas system in the NEA

Tell me about it. KAC is huge dollars. For my Mk12 build,I paid a stupid amount of money for a handguard design that's a few generations back.

The right type of rail will still fetch top dollars to the right collector/clone builder.

Hell, even a RAS clamshell for my Mk18 Mod 0 build was expensive, and a complete pain in the #### to source.

Hang on to it long enough, it will probably be worth something to somebody :)

Off to see how much the mk11 handguard is going to cost :)

Dumb question......what does your URX handguard look like and will it fit the 102?
