I guess NEA got all butthurt about the chittty handguards they produce and added non rotating tabs on the upper....lol What a joke now ill have to mill those off... hahhahahaha
So I guess a stripped receiver set is out of the question as well, Since they are pretty much forcing you to use their handguards.
Please explain. How do you know that they changed things up?
Here is the link to the new BCL 102,

I snagged a guys picture off of FB, he outlined the differences on the RH side of the new receivers,

Maybe they should have focused on the rifle feeding and extracting issues instead of creating something proprietary that people cant modify now.
But hey what do I know.
Also no more dust cover, I don't see a spot to pin one in.
Good job BCL!
Lol, is this crap enough to convince people that pre-order is the stupidest thing the retailers have suckered buyers into the last few years? It's just a way to keep us paying the premium price for a rifle that should already be dropping in value after the reviews and all the trouble some guys have had with them.
What ever happened to buying a rifle and having it shipped the next day? You know what you're getting that way not this crap NEA/BCL is pulling by changing stuff between the first and second run? I would like to see them changing things between the first and second but they should have focused on making it reliable and getting their QC department on the ball so there aren't so many duds making it into the hands of customers instead of worrying about ambi controls and cosmetic junk. AR's have been ambidextrous since they were originally released years ago, the new ambi stuff might be nice but it sure isn't needed in order to use the rifle from either shoulder.
Maybe by the time they make it to the fifth generation or so they might get around to making a rifle that works correctly out of the box. New name, same old NEA.

Who the fack are these guys listening to when making design modifications?
Apparently that is simply because they have not drilled the holes on the particular receiver in the photos.
I am not sure whats up with the brass deflector as I have had no problems with mine not deflecting brass...
I like the contour of the lower without the raised bits, it was probably to cut down weight.
I guess the trigger guard was so people could further customize theirs?
People will complain no matter how much they change. The grass is always greener...
I am simply happy to have a Non-Res AR in .308. So Kewl. I am looking forward to maybe getting a light profile barrel to lighten things up a tad.
Haters gonna hate. After being on CGN for so many years you would think experienced people would understand what they are getting into with pre-orders... Guess not.
I'm no hater, I actually own NEA products but that doesn't blind me to the FACT that they are letting crap through the QC department and into the hands of customers that should have been caught. Now the new owner has to pay from his own pocket to return the rifle for repair and wait another month or two for his rifle to come back.
Hopefully the gen 2 rifles will be better than the first batch and drop free bolt heads will be a thing of the past...
You never know maybe I bought all this crap for nothing... LoL.

So glad I had the will power to resist the pre-order BS.
I will wait til they are on the shelves in stores to buy one.
