** Your NEA102 build **

8.55 Lbs with the NEA BCG and NEA factory Barrel. Hopefully I can shave .5LBS with the new stuff on the way.

MI Rail fits perfectly, and is way thinner than the factory offering.
Factory bolt catch was hitting the upper but the Battle arms one clears.
Ultimate dust cover needed to have the spring modified a tiny bit to fit.

Had my Gen 1 out again today... Loving this gun, you'd never guess it was a 308 with how well it balances. The Criterion barrel seems to be doing the job with the Hirtenberger but still no real accuracy testing, I'm waiting for a bunch of match ammo to show up and a little nicer weather.

The new Brownells Titanium bolt carrier might make it's way in, then it's done

Took mine to the range for the first time today, functioned 100% reliably with American Eagle 308 Win 150gr FMJ (shot 40 rounds), and fed reliably with all my mags (2 Magpul 5/10, 1 Magpul 5/20 and 2 XCR-L Pistol mags).

Accuracy wasn't great, but I was shooting with only the bipod, no proper rear support, and I didn't use my GMM 168 that is supposed to be the preferred load.

Went out for a coyote hunt the other day with the BCL. Got the first one at about 200m after we spotted it at ~1000m and stalked our way over. The second one we spotted at approx. ~1000m and stalked to about 450m, the initial shot from prone was a miss (high) - the next shot from the kneeling after the coyote started running, and paused briefly, was a hit.

Please disregard the stupid look on my face

Seeing as this is a build thread, I should probably include some specs:

BCL Gen1
Faxon Medium profile 308 Win 1:10 20" barrel
Ergo rubberized grip with palm swell
Rock River Arms Operator stock
Vortex Gen 1 PST 2.5-10 in Leupold Mk4 rings
Geissele trigger of some sort I can't remember

It was a bit of a heavy beast so I will definitely be looking at a lighter handguard in the future.

Just ordered this to replaced the pins on my 102, some are cut by hand( Bolt catch ) and my OCD cant handle it...lol... So I ordered the entire kit from Brownells...

Also we measured the diameters of the Take down pins to find they are also undersized. Explains why they are so wobbly. I ordered the 308 pins from Brownells, Hopefully they are long enough.

My forward pin is very loose and the rear pin needs a punch LOL
