Here’s my parts pile for my incoming 102. I went with a PWS Triad flash hider to avoid the angry range neighbors and because I found with my modern Hunter I didn’t really need the brake. I have plans for an Odin works O2 lite handguard and maybe BCG if necessary. If mine isn’t a shooter out of the box it will most likely get a faxon barrel as well.
As per the above question, any brake that works well usually comes with the negative effects as well, a linear comp, flash hider, or some comps will be less, but without the recoil reduction. Another idea may be a brake that’s easy to install or remove like a badger FTE or some other brake that clamps on instead of using a crush washer or shims.

There are several comps that a blast shield can be fitted over. Like the Ferfans CRD, surefire warden.

This. I have a Surefire Warcomp (3 prong flash hider with some comp ability built in) it makes no muzzle flash or sideways pressure impulse. It does however "ping" after each shot like a tuning fork due to the 3 prong design. Also allows you to mount SF Warden blast shield or SF 7.62 Training Suppressor.

Mine came in the mail last week, the fit and finish is comparable to my PWS and Stag, depending on the light source, the colour can be described as either a dark grey or a very deep OD green.

Heads up for the 102 guys, SFRC has Federal GMM in 168 and 175 on sale for $33.95 a box, plus an additional 17% off with discount code "Ontario".

My 102 loved the 168 GMM with the original barrel, posted some sub MOA groups on here last fall. Will be nteresting to see how the Fulton Armory / Criterion likes it.

250 Rounds not 1 problem. Looks good in the wilderness ;) Took 10 rounds to get the Adjustable gas block set.

1.5 MOA with that surplus Hirt ammo

Steaks & custom semiautos, the good life.
Rifle looks great!

Yup pretty cool to hunt with an AR10. I did however have to order the MI 15" rail after noticing my gas block getting caught up in branches and ch!t while walking thru the woods.

Thats what I get for ordering a barrel with a Rifle-length gas system :)

Quick question, I just received my shipping confirmation and CP Tracking number, so my latest version of the BCL 102 is on the way.
I have Magpul grips on my other tactical rifles. Is there a Magpul grip model that fits without any gaps on the current 102s?

Rick

I tried a couple magpul grips and all fit. You may need a washer to ensure the bolt is tight with the magpul bolt or reuse the bcl one. Both a rubber over mold and a plastic grip both with beavertails were tried.
