I just saw a bunch of those in the "dollar plus" store for $2. each and the replacement blades (pack of 5, I think) were $1.25 .
I too got a hot tip from a fellow who has shot more moose than I'll ever see.Yeah thanks for the hot tip.
If you had a client shoot a moose that died in that spot, you would dress it out there. Good luck moving it. Matter of fact I did a little swimming that day too.

"Never go moose hunting without a come-along!"
.
OMG someone that knows what the heck one of these things is.
I went into RONA and asked for one as well as a "block and tackle" and all I got from ALL the staff there waseven after I said that the block and tackles were widely used on the old sailing ships for shifting the sailing masts then i got
Then I explained what they looked like and what they're other uses are. I finally told them to google it. I went to home depot, got a similiar response.
Some of the people I asked were older than me.
Finally got them at a privately owned hardware business here in Maple Ridge.
The gas that I used to get them was rediculouse.
Must be a Western Canada thing; everyone I know in ON (who has even half a brain) knows what a come-along and a block and tackle are.
To each his own, but I would never skin or dress a game animal in the water.
Nice moose, BTW.
