Youth model 28 gauge shotgun????

Is there such a thing as a youth model 28g shotgun? My son is shooting a single shot 410 I cut down for him but I want to move him up to a 28g so he enjoys it more.
Looking for around 22" barrels and 12" lop

Does such a thing exist under $1000

Browning BPS makes the hunter model with a 26" barrel. Once you shorten the stock on that it might be a good choice.

28g is a sweet little gun but a 20g youth will be a lot easier to find that's fur sure. And you would have a lot better choice in ammo.

He's only 10 so that would be too front heavy for him. I have a light 20g semi with 28" barrels and he can't mount it.

That is what I did up for my daughter when she was small
I found another stock and cut it and placed the original back on the gun when she was done. She loved the 1100 28ga
I gave the short stock to another member here about 3 year ago for him to do the same

I have a akkar in 28ga and would recommend they try the fit before they buy one
Let's just say it doesn't shoulder like a wingmaster or pump like one

You got me thinking. How much different in weight between the micro bps in 28g and the 20g. There are a few over and understand in 28g that may fit the bill for a youth.my buddy Voight a youth model citorie for his grandson it came with two stocks for when he grows out if the short one

Mossberg makes a variety of 410 and 20ga pumps that should cost well within your budget. Might have to special order one though, not many places seem to stock the less common ones. Not much for 28ga though...

The 410's are good but they are a full choke. The 20g apparently kicks like a mule because it's so light.
