Yugo semi-auto

I had ordered two and both arrived today! :D
Andurp: Mine were packaged exactly like yours. The T-shirt was a nice surprise! Thanks Marstar.

OK... does anyone have any tips on getting the cosmoline off? What's the best way to do it?

Plan is to keep one stock-as-is... and the other I plan to turn tactical!:HR:

Cheers!

I used a kerosene soaked rag and Q-Tips to get clean the cosmoline off. Worked on this one, and my other four SKS's. Took me a few hours after dinner to get her all cleaned up. Don't forget to take your firing pin apart and get the cosmoline out of the channel and if you use kerosene remember to oil the rifle afterwards, it'll leave your rifle dry and in need of oil.

Good luck!

got mine yesterday. I checked the nubers and they are all different (receiver, stock, trigger guard). I suppose i should be happy i got one at all. s**t happens.

Haven't even gotten home long enough to open mine yet, hope the numbers all match! Got the "as new" model 59/66.Can't wait to get a few hours at home to enjoy the unwrapping!

Johnone, hope you are reading this. I didn't get a new "59" and just want to post this so hopefully there is a way to avoid this in the future. I put my name on the email list a while ago, between being put on list and guns arriving I moved and had to change emails. Emailed "lots" and even phoned trying to remedy situation, no answers to my emails and couldn't get anywhere with phone calls. Young fellow with accent who answered calls was sure there was no list, don't make/take lists and wouldn't put me through to you. I realize that stuff happens but just wanted to bring this to your attention. Would have pmd you but I was sure you didn't want pms about business but to go through "channels". Not a rant or trying to be vindictive just a heads up so to speak. Thanks for bringing in interesting stuff.

No. Mine was missing. I got the double leather ammo pouch though.

I emailed about it to have them put it in my other order for an "As New" Yugo M48, but I haven't heard back yet. I may try to call later today.

SMITSAUCE;
"Now only if John could find the time to search for my missing FN49 bayonet"

You may recall I had told you I would be opening up several cases of my personal goods to sell off, that was ,amy months ago

I must apologize for having an accident in January which put me on my ass for many months, not to mention my very slow and frustrating recovery, which is till ongoing....Had I known it would be such an inconvenience to you I would certainly not had the accident....

Put a value on the bayonet, lets agree on it and I will cut you a check immediately.... Lets end your frustration in this matter
Regards
John

John,

Didn't mean to make you upset. Just a friendly reminder hence the wink icon. Haven't heard from you for a while and thought I would bring it up.

Maybe you thought I was being sarcastic with my comment about customer service and that put you off, but I was being serious. I thought that that WAS great service when a missing part was shipped out ASAP!

I guess I will leave it up to you to get out when you are able. Sorry to hear about your slow recovery. I hope it gets better for you soon.

All the best,

Ian

@Johnone I must say I've herd great things about you and your company and am sorry about your accident but I must say that after reading smitsauce's post that looked like a complement and truly friendly reminder that you had infact made a promise to him to look into a matter for him! That you bit his head off and it was not called for and speaking as a business owner unprofessional conduct! Hopefully was just a bad day cause if this is how you treat repeat customers when an issue arises well accident or not you have a business to run and I know it might not mean much to lose my business but if this is truly how you treat customers I'm out!

LOL
You must be new to Marstar threads .
That is the way John reacts to anyone who "in his mind" has said anything negative about him or his company.
But don't worry there should be the usual gang showing up soon to declare Marstar is the best . Laugh2
They are pretty good though .
It night help their image if they took away Johns Internet access though

nice first post.....

nice first post.....

Yeah, I'll say!

I have no hard feelings about anything to do with Johnone or Marstar. They have some great stuff at very reasonable prices, they bring in unique stuff from all over the world and their service, from what I have dealt with is excellent.

What a lot of people don't understand is the amount of stuff he/they have to deal with on a daily basis, from inventory stocking, sorting, to dealing with international paperwork, importing/exporting, and then all of the crap they have to take on here because someone didn't get their stuff shipped a day after they ordered it at 1:30pm.

At the end of the day, he is also recovering from an accident.

I feel really badly that this thread is continuing and that he is getting bashed without reason. It is pretty damned easy to take written things the wrong way on here and I am going to delete my posts on here about this issue. Hopefully, the other posts that quoted me can be erased as well.

Sincerely,

Ian
