Those are 795$ yugo ,with tax and ship will end over 900$
And possibly 20 hours of cosmoline removal labour.
Just windering why people are paying 500 for a russian or chinese sks when you can get a Yugo for 700?
And possibly 20 hours of cosmoline removal labour.
tradex has a few left, from $500 - 600 but they described them having some surface rust, so how bad? visible?
I cant bring myself to pay 600 for a rifle with any rust. Haha
One of the most cosmoline covered SKS i ever cleaned.
3 hours in the sun, and one hour of wiping before being able to break it dow.
Man, once cleaned they really justify their price.
YMMV.
Look a this BNBB ( brand new babyyy ).
Tradeex sended me some mint ones.
I'm going to go through the same exercise soon.. did you use mineral spirits to clean it? Is it safe to use it on wood in general?
A sunny and hot day, you need a carbadge can and green carbage bag, put the rifle in the bag, put the bag in the carbadge can let sit 2 or 3 hours.
There will be a lot of liquid cosmoline at the bottom of the bag.
Now the cosmoline is liquid on the rifle. i use a ton of scott towel until clean, now your are ready to take down in pieces, soapy hot water and you clean each piece, let dry in the sun an hour.
Et voila. Cheers.
