A point: you should try using English. These run-on sentences (or whatever they might be) are very cool and interntese but not very readable.
1908 is the year the thing was made.
"ShtLE" means "Short, Magazine Lee-Enfield", which is the type of rifle that it is. Where you found that, there should also be a Crown, the letters "ER" (Edwardus Rex: King Edward), the name of the factory at which it was made..... and the model, which should be III.... which is a Roman 3. The Mark III Short, Magazine Lee-Enfield rifle went into production in England at the end of January, 1907 and was produced into the 1960s in India.
The "Z" likely is a part of the serial number. It also COULD be an Armourer's warning, depending on how it is done. A clear photo or 3 would really help.
You are a Lucky Guy. There are very few 1908s surviving.
