Zastava M85 scope base or picatinny rail?

I heard that the 2 piece extractor is a coming breaking point and is hard to find a replacement...is this still an "issue"?

I was thinking along the lines of the front parts reciever without the rail going over the bolt area, not sure if this is possible.

I was hoping to mount a vortex strikefire on it.

Just put a front base on the receiver....

Leuopold makes a nice steel base,,,,i bought a M85 too,,,tried to get 3 but they wouldn't do it,,LOL...

yes,, i would have liked 3 M85,,,2 to keep and one to sell,,,they were a great price,,

Hey I grabbed this sweet deal too!
Been trying to find some options for a site base as well.
Some direct links from suppliers would be cool.

cheers.

Brownell's.... Search for 799, that brings up the Warne steel bases for the Remington branded version of this rifle.

I still see the Safariland 92 holsters on the EE for $150 that Canam sold for $9.99. Everybody loves those kinds of guys that find a deal on CGN from a dealer, then try to screw the other CGN guys that missed out on it.
Now if you were to sell it for the $450 you paid for it that would be commendable....

Wow.

yup..my buddy is dissapointed,,,he wasn't around and only found out after,,,i'll see how mine is and masy end up selling it him anyways if i can myself a savage model 12 version,,,

might have paid too much $ ($710 all in...w/scope base/rings...was a deal at the time)
but i wanted a bolt action that takes 7.62x39 AND i really like the full length stock
does NOT like laquered rounds
bolt was rough, but has smoothed up with use
shoots fine
much better than the norinco jw 103 i had (and more reliable, ignites hard primers better)

i got tired of waitng for the rail,,and lucked out and got some nice Warne steel bases from Hitzy who local to me,,these steel bases are great,,my M85 doesn't like laquered cases,,hard to close the bolt,,and hard to extract,,the copper colored stuff is much more accurate than the green colored stuff,,i have to find out where it's from since a few rounds where given to me,,,i got 1" groups at 50yrads with the iron sights and my old eyes,,the green stuff was over 3" and sometimes more,,,i'll try to build up some reloads just to see what it can do,,but i really bought this thing because it was cheap and to shoot crappy surplus for fun,,the action is rough,,doesn't cycle very well,,wood finish sucks,,,the blue is nice on mine,,but to have fun cheaply with a centerfire,,they are hard to beat,,
