The title reflects my frustration in trying to get this scale to zero, I've had it for (2) days (bought 2nd hand, I know! I know!) it came with the box and instructions which I have followed diligently a multitude of times with no success.
In desperation I moved the little ball from '0' to '10' and lo and behold the scale 'zeroed' i.e. bar balanced at the zero mark.
SO then I had the bright idea I would dispense powder into the scale tray from my powder flask, it has a 24 grain charging spout after which I moved the little ball to 30 grains and added 4 more grains to the slider - did not quite hit the mark so I adjusted the slider to 4.5 grains and scale hit the mark i.e. 34.5 minus 10 = 24.5
Which means it works but I'm not sure why or how, I moved the brass knurled knob back and forth when trying to zero it originally but did not help. I'm thinking that maybe the tray/hook assembly is the wrong one or too heavy. Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks, Retreever
