truck / hike gun

my 18.5 mossy barrel is CB

whats a bear banger? that sounds handy.

Essentially a 12guage flashbang. Legal in Canada (before you ask), I picked up a couple packs from our local Canadian Tire.

As for "zombie protection" I'll stick with 00 buck - tried, tested, and proven, against "remote rest stop zombies" the world over.

Found this vid of a guy testing bear bangers. Keep in mind, in person, they are MUCH louder - camera mic's don't really pick up on the level of noise.

you know them orange plastic flare guns, probably for marine use....
they're 12g right?

could they handle a bear banger?

Not sure, but you can get a launcher for bear scares/bear bangers for like $25. They look like a big pen.

This. If you just want bangers and flares, that's an entirely valid option. I keep a pouch that contains a half dozen flares and a half dozen bangers and one of the launcher pens in my glove box. My wife checks everytime she heads out on the highway. About the size of a large wallet. I think they should come as a mandatory extra with every car sold. But they don't, so MEC or WS will cover you.

Norinco HP-9 14" barrel .....cheap $399, kinda well built, 12GA 5 shot pump, and small and compact. It's a beater....trigger locked in a soft case, with 1oz rifled slugs and Magnum 00Buck 12 Pellet .....what more do you need?

A non-restricted inexpensive pump action 12GA cannon that can always be hidden deep inside your trunk for SHTF or emergency situations....in middle of nowhere camping, aggressive bear or creepy crack head with bad intentions.

Those single shot back packers are junk. A 12" or 14" pump action 870 with 5 or 6 shots of Magnum 00 Buckshot or 1oz deer slugs is the ultimate choice. ....next to a compact SOCOM 16 with 20 round mag of hyper velocity .308 Win sporting Trijicon night sights

Out in the wilderness far away from civilization or help .....a firearm is just as important than food&water. Like having the power of an entire police force in the palm of your hand lol

.....in the real world that is....not P@$$Y Canada were they like to keep civilians powerless

I should've been born in Wyoming, Arizona, Texas or Montana....a gorgeous gun-loving state with breath taking outdoor landscapes and nation parks loaded with wildlife, wolves, grizzly bears, beautiful lakes and streams, camping and the great out doors.

Where I can have a concealed Glock 27 in an ankle holster 24/7 , and suppressed toys, hi capacity 30 round mags are common place.

Some of these national parks in the USA are freaking amazing, and guys shoot off their back patios after eating breakfast in the morning...

Sorry....waaaayyyyy off topic now.....kinda thinking out loud lol....my bad.

According to rcmp Websight it doesn't need a trigger lock or to be in a case. Just unloaded.

Lightweight, compact and very nice to carry.

Are you going to put a raised bead on that puppy?
Some of these short guns are disappointing in that the factory or importer couldn't bother to make sure they are usable out of the box with the sights or bead they come with!

They should make that model a half inch longer to so that three shells fit inside without any modifications.

I do not think bear bangers in a shot gun are a very good idea, since they can start fires also they are corrosive. I also don't think single shot firearms are a good idea since if you spend a lot of time in the woods the odds are you will run into more than one bear, especially when they have the annual picnic! I think the Grizzly with a 12" barrel it the best option since it allows for five shots and you have the option of starting with non lethal shot shells.
