Nail test preformed, will post results in a day or two.
Don't think there is any problem. Canadaammo must sold tens of thousands rounds of such ammo already. If it's corrosive, it has been out of business long time ago.
Thanks for testing this Outwest. So far no one else has contacted us, so I have to assume this is only a small portion of the shipment, as our tests show nothing so far. As stated in my email, CS will be in touch to sort out the warranty, etc. We will be speaking to the factory on Sunday night to try and get to the bottom of this.Nail test results after 48 hours- fully covered in rust. No one else care to nail test there Norinco 54R? Lets settle this so we can move on.

Sorry, I was not clear. I did not mean to say Outwest was the only one to test, but meant to say he is the only one to have reported any rust in the bore to us. Cantonese is really only spoken near Hong KongDon't assume too much, as there may be several people like myself who simply cannot test their ammo at this time. I am not in the same town as my ammo was shipped too right now, and hard to say if I will driving down there this weekend (what's left of it). I WILL try to test mine as soon as I can, as I'd like to contribute to the results, one way or the other, but it may not be until next weekend now. Sorry about that.
Just for the record, I agree with Outwest1213's statement that this is in no way an attempt to bash Can Ammo. I realize they must sells tons of ammo through the course of a year, and are likely as diligent as they could be to test it themselves, but mixed up packaging or primers at the manufacturer is something beyond their control. All they can do is manage the aftermath and make the appropriate inquiries to the source to ensure it doesn't happen again. (Well, good luck with that at least, do they speak Mandarin or Cantonese?). (LOL) Hopefully this will give their quality control a kick in the butt.
Later.

I do not see it as bashing at all; I expect people to get what they paid for, and will make it right if they don't.

Never did figure out how to post pics on here. Could email you some if your really interested.
Did the bore rust?Haven't done a nail test yet, but this 7.62x54r is the dirtiest ammo when fired that I have come across.
Did the bore rust?
If you test it, you'll know what you haveI have 3 crates here unopened(group buy). Should I do a nail test and post progress pics aswell? The crates don't have many markings.
They have a black stamp that says:
CN-001
MB-31
They also have a stamp that reads:
3-11-61
I haven't cracked them to check the spam can yet. Should I? Or should I wait and see how this play out?
