Figured what better way to compare these 2 than to compare the Tavor to an AR designed for the same type of use. Will do part 2 at 100 yards next week. All tests will be done the same way as this one:
-Same day
-Same optic (Vortex Viper PST at 4x swapped over and roughly zero'd each time for the AE AR223 55gr) Interestingly, when swapping my EoTech between the 2, it's only off by about 4" at 100 with the AR shooting lower (assuming due to lost velocity out of the shorter barrel)
-Same overall length rifles
-Both have the stock crap triggers (will be comparing the Geissele triggers for each when the Tavor trigger comes in)
-Rounds from the same box of ammo each time
-Even using the same mag
-All shots done with the barrels just barely too hot to hold onto
First the rifles:
DD light 11.5" barrel and all related DD parts in an Aero Precision upper and lower (Ghost Gun FTW! Lol).
Tavor, umm, well it's a Tavor.

All shot with just the front of each rifle resting on the bag.
Top row is Tavor, bottom is AR. These are the groups I was getting very consistently today from each, aside from the lower round of the Tavor AE 62 was my oops, and the UMC these are by far the best groups I've got out of it. Apparently it decided to show off for the camera.
Ammo from left to right all FMJ:
AE AR223 55gr black box, AE 223 62gr red box, Hornady 223 55gr shiny box, Rem UMC 55gr yellow box, Norinco 223/5.56 55gr beat up musty dusty crate (Lot 21)

Any thoughts on any other tests or comparisons to do, I'm all ears.
