well, we just got back from a trip with two big mountain caribou bulls and a 55" moose. None were harvested with a 23 caliber, but the 9.3x62 and 270 came through just fine.

Actually, the 23 cal pills are from Marshal. The barrels are from your namesake.

The Hyrax will have some Dr Doug's HANDLOADS, with some of Marshal's BULLETS, using a loaner rifle from DOUGLAS, and probably his dies also. It will be a team effort!

That is a GOOD thing, because a donor rifle is supposed to arrive chez Douglas about now.................

No search party required, I'm back in civilization............Well my buddy "back40sniper" took a nice 58.5" moose and I got a grizzly and a wolf..........never saw the monster moose I wanted but that's why it's called hunting I guess.
Gonna start another thread on the hunting forum and will show some pics on there...............Matrix 9.3 bullets are absolutely amazing..........270 gn 9.3 at roughly 3050 fps impacted my grizzly at less than 30 mtrs and I recovered 258 gns expanded to over an inch.......very, very impressive performance............very dead bear. That's 100% energy transfer to the animal with 95% weight retention at virtually point blank range and a muzzle/impact velocity over 3000 fps...........one cannot ask more from a hunting bullet!!!!
I will be switching most of my hunting rifles over to Matrix bullets from now on, I can not give a stronger recommendation..........sorry Marshal I know you're already busier than you want to be but, I HAVE TO tell the world how good your bullets really are!!!!

Yep! The 270 gr I recovered from the big grizz I got in 2011 started out weighing 270 gr, and retained 91% original weight...... after breaking the big tubercle on the near shoulder, crushing two vertebrae, and then the far shoulder blade.
They just plain work, and made right here in Canada!
