Kel-Tec RDB Bullpup: My First Impressions

Ok, maybe I'm a little too optimistic concerning accuracy, 1 moa might be a bit tight for a semi-auto, but if it is as accurate as an AR with a 18.5" barrel it would be nice. I've been able to get 1.5-2 moa groups consistently from C7s and it's far from any top tier AR.

Anyway, I'm sure there will be detailed reviews when it comes out this winter, and we'll see how accurate and how reliable it is...

Interesting but too pricey. It is Kel-Tec after all.

Gotta expect it to blow up and/or fall apart in your hands

One of the dumbest comments I've read in a while.

Have you ever held a Kel-Tec RFB or KSG? Or did you read it on the internet somewhere? I've owned both and the quality and finish was great, they both functioned perfectly and both digested every type of ammo I fed them. They had high grade steel everywhere they needed to be strong and used polymer where weight could be saved without sacrificing reliability.
Polymer doesn't make a gun crap, ever hear of a company called HK? How about Glock? They use large amounts of polymer in a lot of their firearms and they make some of the most reliable firearms on the planet.
The Sub-2000 feels cheap but mine functioned perfectly, if you expect it to be all steel and still be light weight and cheap maybe go back to your crack pipe.

I'll take an RFB over your M305 any day of the week even if it does cost $1500-$2000 more.

My RFB could do 1.5 moa with handloads and the best I saw with factory ammo was around 2-2.5 moa. If you expect more than that from a rifle that uses the barrel as the spine to support everything else you will be disappointed.
These are designed to be battle rifles so 2-4 moa is all the manufacturer aims to get when designing them. Comparing it to an AR is an unfair comparison, the AR has a much better design when it comes to accuracy, especially if you put on a free-floated handguard.

Accuracy wise, I would say watch for the Desert Tech MDR. I would bet they pay attention to accuracy as the have been an accuracy driven company for the most part.

Exactly why my SRS may just get a little brother if they come in non restricted and at a fair price.
The SRS is a totally different beast though, full free floated match grade barrel compared to a bullpup semi auto, there is only so much they will be able to do accuracy-wise due to the gas system, but as long as it shoots better than a Tavor ;) LOL

Pending accuracy, reliability, and status, the Tavor may end up a secondary. ;)

Pending status, the Tavor may end up a sold. ;)

Fixed it for you :D

Pending shmending, be a leader and as long as it comes in non restricted buy one. It's DTA, they won't release a pile of steaming turd until it's perfect. It may not produce sub moa groups but it isn't a sniper rifle so don't expect it to be one.
Secondary? In case your primary battle rifle goes down shooting coyotes on the farm? ;)
Want a secondary? buy two of them.

My bolded emphasis added.

I dont expect it to be bolt gun accuracy, but it would be goofy to buy another gun with the DTA premium without any improvement over the Tavor.

By secondary I meant I would keep it, but it would no longer be my main go-to.

But it would be nice to have a secondary for those killer coyotes.... ;)
