TDC IDPA is a handgun sport. One thing we try to do is accommodate everyone from older folks with serious health issue, to our vets with missing limbs to those with either young or old bad knees and backs. I mention that because we have a rule that prone and kneeling positions are mandated to occur at the end of stages by rule. This allows more who have physical difficulties to compete and enjoy the sport on an equal footing with those who are more fit.. If you find this and a few other rules we have to not be to your liking than please stay away. We don't cater to the mall ninjas of the world and frankly we won't be apologizing for this stance to you any time soon. We do try to accommodate shooters from all walks of life who want to participate in a handgun shooting sport including those with handicaps. The sport fills a niche in a bundle of shooting sports activities available to Canadian shooters. I and about 25,000 other shooters enjoy IDPA as a sport. Many of us also enjoy shooting IPSC, 3 Gun, Steel Shoots, Cowboy Action just as much. I don't suppose any of these sports care what you think of their rules either. I know we don't.
Like one poster pointed out to you either put up or shut up. It would be nice to be able to read a thread without hearing your stupid commentary on what we all should and should not be doing.
Take Care

ps I know this will blow your mind but I shoot every year with a fellow who has a no left arm due to thalidomide. He shoots to the Sharpshooter level in IDPA with one arm safely with his Glock 17. And yes we allow him to shoot strong handed when the stage calls for weak hand only shots at major Matches...and nobody cares.
