A Sauer S303 in 9.3x62 seems like it would be a candidate, but you know Murphy's Law. There was also an outfit in the USA that used to convert .338 WM Browning BARs to .416 Taylor.

Well, if I'm going to post photos of doubles, I'm kind of limited, and it is a nice looking rifle, and it did put a smile on my face, and thank you for that.

I like you SHELL, so as a kind suggestion, unfortunately your inexperience in those matters is showing. That is not a small animal and you're judging on photo perspective, it is not a friendly animal, and it is not walked up to and popped like an Island critter with a .30-30.

You can argue your point, but you're going to be cheating, as I'm presuming you're talking some sort of light duty semi .45 chambering with nearly nil recoil compared to actual dangerous game rifles. The only person unfortunately you'd be kidding is yourself, that you're actually fulfilling the intent of the challenge with that. It'd be a lot like turning up to a driven boar hunt with a 10/22.
If it's a 450 Marlin loaded standard to hot I'd say it's a good test.
Semiautos for dangerous game are not my choice but if someone has a hard hitting semiauto rifle/shotgun that they trust for the close range scary stuff let's do it!

No, not really, that's an extremely light bullet for caliber, and only matches a revolver that S&W will sell you. You've got yourself a .375 Winchester there with much worse sectional density, but I'll admit curiosity at what you can do with it as well, fire away.

You might be surprised what they'll take a hit from and go for a couple minutes before dropping. Get a bear on adrenaline and you have a whole different animal.

Nope, not even close try doubling that and then you'll find yourself in dangerous game energy territory.........................at 2200 fps you need at least 400 gr bullet to make the grade, and 500 is better yet...........That load and cartridge doesn't even make Yukon bison specs, hardly a dangerous load!!!
