For .22 pistols there are lots that run well out of the box with a variety of ammo..... Ruger and Browning for example. Some others are hit and miss and may only like higher velocity or slower powders. My go to test ammo is CCI Blazer bulk....it's been good in all my auto loaders, either pistol or rifle. It has the right pop to cycle well. If a gun won't run with those, then the gun needs some work lol
It's true that some .22lr semi auto guns have a reputation for being non fussy...... others not so much. When it comes to guns that resemble their bigger brothers the percentage that are not fussy seems to go down. I've read many instructions for .22lr semi auto conversion kits that say plainly that only certain ammo will function reliably.
That said this is a purposely built, dedicated .22lr made by a company that prides it self on a quality product.... I expect reliability similar to a Ruger.
