Thank you
I am gonna do it first thing in the morning. Too aggrevated and don't want to break the damn thing now so I'm gonna leave it for tomorrow.
What a ####ing pain this pistol is.
We sell into 67 different countries. The days when Jaroslav had time to surf are a distant memory.
I get and understand that the President doesn't have time to hang with us.... besides how many reps from Grand Power do we need?
You are here and as long as Grand Power is willing to answer your questions and you are willing to forward them to us it's really not necessary for other Grand Power employees to chime in.
That said I have some questions for Grand Power or their Canadian rep.
When did the "new" ones start using double recoil springs? Boris on the grand power forum that you moderate says there are different colored springs for different power .22lr's and that they are used in combination. I don't see that with my new to me MK 12 and there is no mention of it in the instruction manual. Were these spring packs added to improve function? Are the models that Dlask just sold compatible?
Also if you do get a straight answer about the spec on the rail and why they changed it I'd be interested.

March 2014 ...

Re-read that forum post. Boris was answering not about the .22lr discussion above but the X-Calibur
Yep. Dlask Arms got the older version with two separate springs. They also got the small box versions of most of the guns without the spare back straps.
The X-Trim while scalloped heavily still does have a heavier slide.
It's a trade off for the guys that really want a gun that looks and feels as close as possible to their 9mm version.
Another way to achieve the weight reduction and keep the slide profile is by attaching a sight rib to the fixed barrel, but then you have issues with disassembling it for cleaning.
Cheers.
So other than Hitzy, who judging from the last dozen posts appears to have a rather awkward personal vendetta against grand power...
Start shooting them and tell me what you guys think.
I don't think there's a better stock DA/SA trigger out there under a thousand bucks. Ergo's are about the same as a CZ, which is arguable top notch already. Quality is about the same which is fine. The firing experience (Muzzle flip/recoil etc.) is superior on a GP.
I'm primarily talking about the 9mm. I am pretty much under the impression that any .22lr pistol that isn't a revolver or have the looks of a space age ray gun is unreliable, so I don't even bother.
I got one on the way.....I'm sure it's a fine gun, but the best gun under $1000? Dunno...guess we will see when it gets here.
My take is they have been around for over a decade in N/A, and they still really haven't taken off, and its had several design changes already, it's only sold successfully when its been fire sales, and they are on the 3rd or 4th distributor for Canada as the previous ones have not sold enough guns to keep Jaro happy. If the gun is as great as you think it is, they should be more popular here and in the USA. I think the mag not fitting the gun issue is a pretty big QC issue....and just addressing it on the mk12 says they didn't care much about it.
I'm just being realistic and I don't buy into a lot of the smoke....if it's a good gun I have no problem stating that. Hopefully I'll get it in next week.
I bought my K22 XTrim from Dlask last Dec and it came with two springs. One in the gun and one in the box. Can't remember which one it came with installed.

If there is a new set that will make this ultra-picky gun work with more ammo, I'd like to get it please. Just let me know which channel to go through to provide my shipping info.
Looks like your springs are different diameters? Mine are the same but I wouldn't be surprised if the springs have been mixed up in my case because the gun was sold earlier in the year and then returned according to the information that somebody allready filled into the manual.... Dlask does not remember why it was returned?
The second spring in my X-trim case was the same as the one in the gun but an 1/8" longer.
The K22s had a bigger spring that looks like your big spring, this spring is so big that it does not rest on the stop at the end of the guide rod like the smaller springs do but instead rides over it and down a ways. Nice to have a few options but I do notice with the larger spring there is alot of spring vibration going through the gun when dry firing....sort of sounds like a springy striker fire pistol.
