This .22LR shortage is starting to piss me off.

Not rubbing it in.... but I got a case of Mini-Mags for Christmas from my son.... wonderful gift... we are off to the range...

I just picked up 400rds of Winchester 37g 1330fps Hollow Points. Last 400 they had.

I as well bought 500rds of Winchester 40g Hollow Points 1910fps .22 Mag. They had a couple more but all that cost me $170!!!!!!!!

I paid $55 for 1000 of M22 and thought that was bad...
I might break down and buy some m22 ammo.

Haven't seen any CCI in a long time.
I found an empty box of cci .22mag gamepoints. The .22mag ammo I've been looking for, for years. And it was in a local store.
They had the carton they were selling the ammo out of, and just filled the empty carton with different brands when it came time to refill the stock.
So, no cci gamepoints were actually in the box. I was disappointed.

...rimfire ammo... I don't want to pi$$ anyone off, but how about premium factory .308 loads? At around $1.20 per round, just what are you complaining about 5 cents a round?

Sorry.
Premium .308 loads is what a person reloads. Buying factory 308? Craziness!
Alright, just setting up for reloading the way I want to probably cost me near $1k by the end of it.

I stocked up on cheap 22 ammo. The 525 round bulk packs for about $23 each plus a couple of bricks of American eagle 500 round all in I have about 12000 rounds for when the zombies show up

if you watch the markets, fuel will stay down of the next year to come...if you watch other than your local news, Russia is going into recession...what does that mean you say, well lead prices may drop like the oil has dropped, and you never know but our beloved SKS's and other red firearms may do the say, so keep your chin up fellas because things may change.

The price of all ammo has gone up so more shooters are turning to .22 for some cash relief. If there is a shortage of .22 ammo then the manufacturers can drive up the price on that as well. Whatever the market can bear. Manufacturers are making more money than ever and have no intention of flooding the market to bring the price down. Great for shareholders and sucks for the rest of us. That is true Capatalism with a large "C". Nothing is going to change soon. This is the new reality so bend over and take it.

I usually stock up in the spring when the local Co-op farm service centers have a sale. If they have it, it's usually win. 22lr. Cheap and i buy a case or two. No gophers in the pasture last summer so i still have 10,000 rounds sitting in the ammo locker.

Stores are supposed to be getting stock soon as they had a big show up here and after that stock gets moved around according to the Pronature manager here. He has already got a bunch of CCI ans RWS stock in. They haven't been able to get Wildcats for a while so never have anything on sale.

Looks like it could be at least another year before I can buy .22 again so I have just bought a SKS so I can shoot the cheap and plentiful military surplus ammo.

I was in a store in Ocala, Florida yesterday. At least when I go to a store in Edmonton, I can find some 22LR of some sort. This place didn't even have as much as a 50 round box of 22LR anywhere........not even a box of 17HMR on the shelves.

They had ammo cans of Federal .223 for the exact same price as P&D sells for.

I don't feel so bad about my selections and prices around Edmonton now......

You guys have to get rid of the idea of buying a few boxes or a brick.
Buy a CASE at a time.
These are the good ole days re pricing.
OR
Don't buy, don't pay todays price; & just wish you were out shooting!

Here on Van Isle I just got bought 1500rds of mini mags for $107 all-in........after reading this thread I realize I should have bought every 100/brick they had.

sigh
