Cast Bullet ####

Wow! You guys sure do have some great looking bullets and some damn interesting/intriguing designs. Pan lubed or lubesizer bullets sure do look a whole lot cleaner than my tumble lubed bullets. Those philips type bullets must really turn heads at the range yodave.

Having wicked fun so far but think I might have to invest in a lubesizer or at least pan lube for a cleaner look??

Tumble lubing works better if the lube and the bullets are warm. Put the lube bottle in a sink of hot water for a few minutes before you use it. If you're adventurous you can warm it up with a microwave. Warm the bullets with a hair dryer before you start lubing. You get more even coverage if the lube and the bullets are warm.

I usually heat the bullets until they are almost too hot to hold before i tumble lube. You can put on a very thin, even layer of lube if everything is warm, and it helps the lube dry faster too.

Been warming up my lube in the microwave when I'm too impatient to warm in hot water. Cutting with a splash of mineral spirits has helped create a nice thin even layer of lube. Live and learn. Got the bator mould in and tested it out. Bullets were coming out near perfect but had some slight creases. Threw a few ounces of solder in the pot and now the mould is filling out beautifully. Can't wait to develop some loads with these bullets and see how theyll feed in the VZ. Post pics ASAP.

22 Bator. I'd like to develop some low speed ammo for my VZ58 in 556. Gonna start off with 3gn clays n go from there. Won't get the action to cycle but that's ok as I just want a nice quiet plinking/small game round for out to 50m.
