well, I sure hope that the 240 WBY will have legs enough for me to reach out there. I just bought one at the last gun show and my son's are setting up to reload for it. Got 40 live rounds and shopping around for brass. Geeezz, it's not cheap, I see! lol!

I would go with the 25-06 or the AI version, not so much for more speed but to get longer life out of brass. The 110 accubond or 115 hunting VLD look good to me and should be plenty for both the distance/animals your looking at shooting. There is lots of brass around.
got any idea as to how many times (approx.) one can fire 240 WBY brass?
The .277 cal has a high BC. I would rather a good .277 cal over .243 for long range deer hunting. .264 and .284 are excellent choices as well.High BC, long range bullet in .257 and .277 caliber are limited compared to the neighbouring calibers such as .243, .264 and .284.
