fc brass thats federal?My FC brass is all crimped too just like my Hornady. The pocket needs to be swaged or cut so there is a taper for the primer to follow.

I think it's a small defect in the rcbs primer tool, no big deal, it'll do until I get another.would be nice to see if any of the other brands have the canted pin! so a person would know in case i ever get a new one.
Brass is all once fired by me, and no , I never checked to see if they need to be swagged, I didn't think I had to do that.
I'm using all factory, but if I ever use military, ill ale sure I crimp.Military brass need to be crimped. If your shooting norinco then swagged your brass
ya, I'm in no hurry, I have lots of ammo on hand. I'll try again today.I've got the same tool and just had a look . It's seems to be dead on centre. Have patience and maybe that might have an answer
RBCS , have told me that some of the parts in this model has been upgrade. A new plastic fitting ,Also new pins and a new bushing, the pin and the barrel shaped bushing are the upgrade part.So , turned out good. Thanks for all your help. One more thing, they know of this problem.
