I guess Ive been in Ontario too long or getting soft! Went out over the christmas break and couldnt get under 2 inches with either rifle. I think it was the ice build up on the trigger that was the problem.
As usual since its too cold to play at the range I got bored and took both rifles apart.... now I got to get my act, and the rifles back together. I expect that the warmer weather will be here before I finish playing at the rate I'm going so I better get at least one ready!
Norinco now has a Springfield medium weight barrel, USGI gas cylinder, and Springfield bolt that I'm just lapping in now so quite interested to see if I can complete the challenge with it, sure hope so for the extra dollars spent!! The interesting thing is that even with the new barrel and bolt the head space is still about what it was with the original barrel and bolt but it worked great for over 2000 rounds before so we will see what happens.

I need my rest to keep me steady......my crutch if you will to "take the shake" out of the equation. Yah, I smoke, and drink too much coffee!
