For some reason I just can't get into the ACE stocks, which I guess are the closest thing. Also has anyone found a source of after market polymer magazines (7.62x39)?

Dmitri does some nice Vintorez a while back that'd give you a base for the sister rifle. I finished a Vinny a while back (http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/foru...uin-a-perfectly-good-VZ858?highlight=vintorez) and it would require little more than a rear stock/grip change/modification to switch it to a Val. The stock appears to be just tube and flat iron based so relative non-complex to fab and get to work with a folder. Good luck ;)
 
guns are so bad

cnn and cbc told me guns are bad

i dont feel safe with this in my house

i took this one when i woke up one morning and it got loose from the cabinet

it keeps wanting to go outside and commit crimes

its not the person its the gun it has a mind of its own

every morning and every night i sit my guns down and have a talk with them, i say guys you got to learn some limits
you cant just jump out whenever you want and start shooting. there just so bad. the liberals are right LESS GUNS LESS CRIME!!
even though statistically where theres more guns theres less crime, but thats just stats.. but the news says there bad

this is set up for home defense and night hunting, mostly coyotes and beavers. accurate up to 300 yards in the day. 100 yards at night with illuminated reticle and flashlight
laser is set at anything up to 30 yards
 
I think I might dust off my short mags, tweak them to feed right. The last 2 rifles motivate me. Looking good guys.

I like your setup as well. Clean and functional. I had a similar setup. Great for the range and bush. The short mag looks great.

Do you guys have feed issues with the stubby mags? I have 4, all have feed issues. My issues can be fixed, just needs bench time.
 
Reconfiguring my setup. The parts are fine. I'm a builder, I can't help but tweak. My SVT stock project will keep me plenty busy. I'll slap the CZ back together so I can prototype another SVT stock. I can't put both of my favorite reds out of commission.

My stubby mags bind. It's a matter of replacing a crappy rivets.

Would love to see that svt, one guy built an svt called natasha its on youtube. Did an amzing job
