Lets Talk About The 22LR Situation....again :)

I heard what I thought was a fake rumour. I followed up and was surprised as all heck and dropped $1100 for what they had left. SE Sask

last I was there they had zero 22lr, you are correct those aren't bad prices, for some reason I have bad luck with bass pro, they are not close to me but everytime I do get there they have nothing I am looking for.

They are getting shipments on a semi regular basis now.

They have limited customers to four 50 round boxes or 1 bulk pack per day, so their stock is lasting longer.

I saw this coming so I stocked up when there was plenty of stuff cheap. Didn't go overboard though I never emptied shelves or over did it (some bought 40k+ rounds which I think is a little absurd personally even 20k would be borderline obsessive for me as I use maybe 2-3 k a year), I got just enough to carry me through a few years. You had a choice of either stocking up and having no problems now, or not and trusting that others would do the same. Seems like I made the right choice.

Honestly, I don't see any evidence that this shortage tendency will end anytime soon. there are ups and downs but entire shelves filled with lots of variety will likely not return before some time, at least I don't think so.

Now that the average joe has seen the shelves empty, he will stock up as well and this will just go on and on. Hopefully I'm wrong but I don't think so.

I have some Remingtone Viper I would trade for .308. Up to 1000 rnds.

Wish I could find a brick or two of the Remington Yellow Jackets for old time sake. Used to shoot tons of it when I was a kid. Found some locally but I'm not paying $56/brick + 13% !!! That's not even 8 shots for $1 b:b: Anyone know anywhere between Toronto & London that has it reasonable??? Pretty bad when 500 Dynapoints for $30 looks attractive!

I have four 22lr firearms and I do not shot any of them.I may sound stupid but is there a huge following that shoot that much that they cannot get ammunition?

thanks for the info, my drive to bass pro is an hour so 1 bulk pack wouldn't be worth it, but I drive by more regular in the spring and summer.

No, I just made that comment in regards to the "$50 per brick"...I, myself would never pay that much. I`ll park my 22`s and use my 22-250 for gophers instead lol

Bought another 15 bricks today!

Bragging about hoarding ?
