What is the coolest feature about the SKS

For me is the way the empty's fly way up in the air, I just love that. In the 90's I thought the bayonet looked goof, now it looks cool. For the most part the dull silvery gray bayonets to me years ago looked like a cheap replacement. But now since I have seen some black and some shiny like a butter knife, I like them.
 
There are tens of thousands of them in Canada making liberals and the liberal brigade cry up a storm.
Cause you know they are the terrifying Russian war carbine.
 
If we are talking real features, I'd say the ease of takedown and maintenance, combined with the genius of the cleaning kit.
 
The price for sure, you dont have to shoot them to own them, myself, i have 5 SKS, i love having because they are nices... JP.
 
Great first rifle for a beginner, doesn't kick hard, ease of takedown, modding is easy, fun project. Ammo cheap, ever since holding and using one in the CFSC i knew i would end up with at least one. My petite blond wife even likes it, which makes me like it even more :)
