I have a Sako model P72 rifle, which is the predecessor of the model 78 that was linked to this thread. rumor has it that the M78 magazines will fit the P72, but I can't verify it because I don't have an M78 yet. anyway I also have a pair of NS522 rifles, and although the appearance of the bottom metal is shaped very similar to the Sako, the dimensions are different. the P72 magazine is almost half the width of the NS522 magazine, and will not align or latch in the 522 magwell. I have no doubt that some other magazine will fit or can be modified to fit easier than the Sako.

My daughter and I both got NS-522s. We are having feed problems with all four magazines shipped with the two Norinco NS-522's ordered. The magazine feeds the bullets forward about 1-2 mm too low. As a result, the magazines can't be used, as is, and bullets must be hand fed.
Did we receive the correct magazines for the rifle or magazines for the EMS-522 instead (similar to the stock)?
Is this a common problem and, if so, what is the common fix?
Thoughts? Recommendations?

Did you follow my DIY for mag disassembly?
It is very common for the rounds to get hung up when new.
Clean and remove and sharp areas. In general, if you follow my posts from the beginning I was on a mission to smooth out my binding bolt and minor feeding issues. I would recommend you look at all the posts and compare to yours and check each one off as OK.
Then, post some pics for all of us with stock and modded rifles to compare with.
That is my suggestion.
Oh, and have a beer or three while you do it!

I think NS522 is capable of challenging it without any problem, the follows are the grouping with my "glued action" NS522 from failed bedding attempt
, I think it is much more tighter than my successful challenging with my another NS522 without the flyers, although the challenge was failed which was done in 10 minutes after I had been fussing with the scope set up between 2 rifles.
Compared with my successful grouping:

No, I just leave it there because I thought that "glued action" is much more solid than "bedded"
. But I would like to know how you did it with the freezer method.By the way, I can still access to trigger group even if the action is glued.
