Tavor FAQ (updated 08 December, 2008)

Guys, anyone know who has GearHeadWorks full length Razorback rails in stock? I keep checking Zahal but they are always out of stock, and GearHeadWorks doesn't seem to be shipping to Canada.

For those of you interested in making the button switch functional in your factory Tavor handguard, and make it work with whatever light or laser device you have mounted...I just bought and installed this switch from this seller in Ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/IWI-tavor-g...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I spliced the wire for my Insight light with it, and true to the words of the ad, the switch truly did fit perfectly in the factory location, and the function of the switch is exactly as described. He currently doesn't have any stock but I get the impression that he will be getting more.

Looks like the IWI US store is now stocking spare barrels, conversion kits, bolts etc on their website. Hopefully they start showing up on IRG website soon.

What's the expected barrel life of the Tavor? I'm seriously considering one, but the only thing holding me off is the fact you cannot buy a replacement barrel, or even an aftermarket barrel.

Thanks.

IWI claim a service life of 20,000 rds.

Just a PSA for those looking for a barrel wrench. The Tav Tool is available from shooting sight now for $40USD and includes shipping to Canada. I was waiting for DLASK to have them back in stock, but for the price difference, I find it a better buy.

I have no affiliation with the company, but I needed a barrel wrench for when my Geissele trigger bow finally shows up. And it's nice to have all the take down tools in one handy folder in my rifle bag.

They also ship their trigger packs directly up here at no additional cost. Good to know for the folks that missed the last IRG run of Super Sabra triggers.

Gotta wonder how long that'll last. I love it when the Americans just take a "screw that ITAR noise" policy

For a cable lock that I use, when I let go the bolt... just the thickness of the cable... but I was asking for this AR lock that took all place of the bolt... see picture... that's the one that I worry about the action spring be compresse all the time...

Look at that fancy locking device!

Just wanted to say the more research, vids, I read and watch on these awesome rifles, the more I want one! Can anyone recommend a good retailer that sells them?
