Tradex has a large selection of Schultz and Larson .22s again...

Nice looking rifle! What ammo does it take? 6.5 Swede round? Or German Mauser 8?

Ya. I dont think this will be my 1st and only. Would like to get an M77 next with adjustable trigger.

Thx for the earlier tips Hitzy,, I ordered a bunch of new front sights from Nordic and one of those pink plastic type ones off ebay...

6.5x55....great round, light recoil, and I'm already loading for it so that helps!

I pretty sure I bought one of the last good M77 yesterday.

The bolt look rough and the stock could use refinishing but everything else seem to be in good shape.

30266- Schultz & Larsen Single Shot Target Rifle in 22 lr. Very good bore. Heavy barrel. Danish diopter sight. Adjustable trigger. Shows some handling marks. Overall good to very good condition

Thats interesting. I ordered that one yesterday night and paid this morning.

We'll have to see what happens. I noticed that it said on hold after I ordered it. Maybe you beat me to it? But then why did they take my money??

Yesterday morning I placed an order with Tradex and didn't get the automatic confirmation I usually get from them. They may be having issues with their online ordering. You can email them or call Monday morning, but don't worry, they will sort it out...good folks.

Wow, that sucks...
I looked a second time at the tradeex site and its wrtiien ( ON HOLD BL ).
Now I almost feel bad for you...

If you really want it, pm me and I'll try to contact Anthony asap. I'm sure the rifle is not shipped yet.
As much as I want one, I don't need one and I can wait this summer and buy one from the other batch.
Let me know...

All this because of you Hitzy haha ;)

I picked out another one. I'll call on monday morning to see whats up.

wow weird. not sure but , ummm I think I ordered that one aswell lastweek and my initials are BL. guess time will tell lol

Haha what a mess up.

I called this morning and shorted my order out.

I ended up ordering 3 rifles. 30004 and 30274 (and 30273 for a friend). I think they are all M77's but I could be wrong.

Picked mine up from the post office, on time as promised.
I bought the one that was advertised as having a crack from diopter
to forend.
Received a mint M77 with nice blueing, SN 2565x and yes there is
a faint hairline crack about 1 inch long that I would not have
noticed if I was not looking for it.
Will clean it tonight, but very impressed so far.

Bought one a month or so ago, Canada Post gave an ETA for shipping from TradeEx of 7-9 business days even though I'm an hours drive away, rifle arrived within 24 hours; good one Canada Post :p
Quite nice feeling action, refinished the stock in tung oil, finally got it out to the range this past weekend and was amazed.
Mine has some light tiger striping, really comes out in the sun but I don't have any pics handy.

I have terrible eyes, my optometrist says I have the eyes of a 50-year old but I'm under 30 (genetics and a youth spent with too many video games). I literally couldn't even see the group until I checked my spotting scope after firing all 15 rounds. I was quite surprised when I looked through the scope. Normally I have a hard time doing better than 2" at 50 yards with any sort of iron sight, even diopter sights on other rifles, because I have a hard time focusing. The front sight is often too small, or the rear sight is too large. This rifle was just right and seemed to want to naturally line up every time. Maybe I should name it my Goldilocks rifle.

15 rounds, 50yds, off a bench, Eley Practice ammo.

The group measures about .93" edge to edge, so .71" centre to centre.
To tell the truth, the following 4 groups where all larger; average of around 1.25" edge-to-edge but that is still very good for me without a scope.

I had tracking info yesterday. Should have it friday.
Can't wait to see the condition of the rifle.

I would like to see that stock refinished with Tung Oil...
I plan to refinish mine as well and from what I see Danish oil did a great job.
I'm also a big fan of the Tung oil so I would like to see the results.

What you guys are using to remove the old finnish ? Is it Shellac ?

I had a chance to shoot my GF's rifle at 50m yesterday. I'm pretty darn happy with the results.

Heres the rifle. Hers has heavy tiger striping on both sides, down the entire length of the stock. :d

This is a 10 shot group at 50m from a bench using Eley club. I haven't tried any other ammo for groups yet. It was quite windy so we'll say the wind took the far left one. :d

My 2 rifles should be here Friday!!
