It was the earliest start that I can remember, and we had a great turnout. We also had several new RSOs volunteer, which should help to spread out the work load.Great time yesterday , lots of shooters out came out to knock the dust off! P :>)

Does your club hold any registered trap shoots? If so do you have any dates?
Nobody at our club seems interested in seriously competing, or in taking on the responsibility of organizing and running an event.
That's too bad.....understandable though as it takes up alot of your time scheduling, organizing and looking after a registered shoot. It has to be something you really enjoy doing to volunteer your time to it.
Some of the "more experienced" shooters missed the second in a pair several times as well - but I'm old and feeble!!. Some newer shooters never even got their eyes on the second target when shooting doubles.

We have several people that really enjoy trap and skeet, and that shoot a lot, they just aren't interested in serious competition.
I haven't figured out how to load them so they will hit the ground "running"!So you fellows have the targets set to fall short and become rabbit targets?! Interesting!!![]()

If you had seen that high house fly would think that the danged thing was out of adjustment until the wind dropped!!

Exactly, the targets from both houses were going pretty much center of the hoop on a calm day, but the strong gusts from behind the high house were really pushing some of the targets down. On the other hand, many of the low house targets were rising way up, and just hanging there. In between the gusts, the targets flew just like a person would expect them to. You stood on the station , called for the targets, and waited to see where the targets were headed. Some people found it frustrating, but people like myself and the Cat tend to enjoy this type of shooting.I haven't figured out how to load them so they will hit the ground "running"!
