Name one that has the real world testing and combat experience behind it?

Just my 2 cents but the whole ar15 design is of basically the specs so the whole design has combat experiance. Just saying that if another company other ten cc was building for the forces there is nothing to prove that those rifles would not be just as good.

I am a CCW fan boy like any other but there are lots of company that supply the military world wide that supply the civilian market as well.

Are there better maybe yes are there same quality and reliability for the same and maybe less money absolutely.

I would disagree with you on that. The only spec rifles are built to the TDP, and in Canada's case, a modified TDP. Virtually all AR15's are "knockoffs" or clones with only a very few having the TDP. If that wasn't the case, every military or SF unit that currently relies on CC rifles/carbines would buy (insert your favourite AR clone maker here) and save a boatload of money. A large part of cost is building to the TDP spec and testing the rifles to ensure they meet the spec. In CC case, they build and test way beyond the stated spec requirement. Case in point is the raw steel and process used by CC to make barrels. I understand the cost of the steel blank or slug is more in its unfinished state, than a finished Colt M4 barrel. Quality costs money. I would agree that most people are never going to rely on their AR the way a combat soldier or SF operator would, but it is nice to know you have a top shelf piece of equipment, even if it is a bit more cost.

So if there is another maker that meets or exceeds the CC TDP, conducts the level of product testing CC does to ensure reliability please let me know.

Debatable. All depends on what you look for in your rifles.

Dunno about that. Out of the box I say its near the best quality "combat" AR available.
KAC is great, ($$$ more) but, has proprietory parts. Colt USA, BCM, DD. LMT are all OK, but lack the barrel, tuning and tweaking CC put into the SFW (15.7)

Larue is a pretty bench gun ;)

I did not set out to like the SA15.7 as much as I do, picked it up to have at least one Canadian AR worth buying that was close to an issue weapon. I have owned nearly all of the above, and If I had to keep 1, it would be the 15.7.

PS: I have owned Noveskes- great guns, I really liked the 10.5 hammer forged barrels. Overall now, they are heading down the pretty bench gun path.

TDP is old, but valuable, and although it has changed or updated as the years go by there are many companies that far succeeded the TDP in 2015. CC is one of the best carbines out there but we will see what the price on the IUR will be and how it lines up to say KAC or Noveske. There are lots of great options out there and CC is certainly at the top of the list with many others already mentioned. Personally if I had to own one rifle I would go with a KAC lower and CC IUR upper for parts being as KAC is proprietary as Hilo mentioned.

I would go Piston HK/MR/416 if FA and Suppressors are in the mix.

I will agree with you but if all other manufactures of AR's are clones wouldn't CC's be clones as well since from what I have read is that they bought the design from Ugine Stoner and Armalite. Colt never came up with the design.

Noveske, and I'm my opinion better in every way. YMMV

Interesting discussion, here is a quick comparison:

http://www.shopnoveske.com/collections/rifles/products/noveske-recce-basic-rifle
$1,730.00 USD = $2196.48 CDN

Colt SA15.7
http://www.theammosource.com/index....d=3991&zenid=88a9f1336390469748072b6108f397e5
$1,999 CDN

However the Noveske does not indicate how the barrel is made (CHF etc). I just wanted to point out the rifles are similarly priced.

EDIT: Correction they do, it is CHF for 5.56mm.

Cheers
