50 Beowulf Metal Magazine Review

Good review! I picked up 3 of them from Barton's as well. Alway get great service from those guys. I don't have any AR's, but I do use my tavor quite a bit at the range... Ok all the time lol. I was using pmags since I got it, they always functioned well, but I found never dropped free out of the tavor. I do like that these new 50 beo mags do drop free every single time, seat when full on a closed bolt (usually a decent smack is needed though), and feed 100 percent of the time. Only thing I don't like is that I burn through ammo 3 times as fast now when I do got to the range lol. I use mainly tacos on my PC, and they are a bit short in those for a clean draw, all I did was put a wedge into the pouch to raise the mags up and problem solved. Ammo is getting expensive so we will see if I want to pick up a few more or not.

I just got mine in the mail today. They are definitely not magnetic (if a magnet sticks its because it is sticking to the spring inside the magazine). The plastic wrap that it comes in is marked "05RD Beowulf AL" I assume the AL is for Aluminum. The follower is a black anti-tilt 5.56 style with the 5.56 marking removed. Have not had a chance to test them yet.

Good. I like C Products aluminum mags a lot.

When you say "5.56 marking removed", what do you mean?

That is for sure possible. I can say it didn't cross my mind that it could be sticking to the magnet.

Well that's disconcerting. Bartons said they were stainless steel

PrettyBoy or Garandman,

Could either of you post up a pic of the front of the magazine (loaded and unloaded), as well as a view of the follower?

Thanks.
