Phil, for god's sake quit with persuading people. There are too many up here already! We need some gunnys down south to even the odds.
You will love the Yukon Tom i go up that way wen I can hell if you do move let me know I have wanted to canoe the Yukon river from Whitehorse to Dawson city
i forgot to mention the mozzzzquitoes .... the ones that are taking alive the cheekakos .... the ones that are not bitting but impaling ....
haahaa sum realy good jade hunting gold panning in northern BC and big moose too
ya, but we want to get out of BC.
hate the politics and all the areas I hunt in are gonna get pipelined sooner or later
also, while I can set my shop up for my work just about anywhere there is power and heat, my wife needs a community with a hospital for her to be happy pursuing her career.
not many town in BC fit the bill (that I would live in or near) other than where I am at right now.
over the past few years we have been jumping the hoops to try and migrate to Alaska but the process is not going as well as I had hoped. Yukon would be next best thing and still can explore Alaska on holidays[/Q
I mean for this year lol Just go I know you will love summer you can fish all day and night
the round trip throw Alaska would be fun com back on the Alaska Ferry

i just got word im heading back to work in Albert so BC hunting don't look good right now
So it looks like I will have to hunt up in Hinton this year poor me haahaa
In the same boat myself... strongly considering it... so to answer your original question: probably.
Maybe for me not forever, but 2-5 years is my idea. Just seems so beautiful and a truly unique experience... and of course there is (probably) a better job there for me.
I came from small town Ontario as a kid, but have lived in large (Ottawa) or very large (Seoul Korea) the past 15 years... I'm so over big city life, I spend all the free time I have during the past 2-3 years getting away to the country, camping, fishing ectl. When I get out of the city I almost feel my blood pressure drop haha.
Ya that was my idea when I moved up there in '78, 5 years to hunt all the Yukon had to offer and then ...........35 years later and here I am just moved to better winters........It can be very addicting, especially the 24 hour daylight in the summer.....VERY addicting indeed. Also took up flying up there and that 24 hour daylight is a huge bonus for flying too.........
Never too late, decent planes out there for the price of a pickup.![]()
If your from Alberta now is a good time, first NDP government elected yesterday!
