Cadex CDX Precision Rifle ( New pics with a PGW )

beautiful rifle, and kudos for the honest post on the shooting! as long as you enjoy getting rounds down range its money well spent. The rest comes with practice, and a few tips here and ther!
enjoy

Just adjusted my trigger down to 8 oz 1st stage and 1.5 Lbs 2nd stage, I also notice you can adjust the trigger shoe front to back witch I find pretty cool.

I cant wait to also try the trigger tech. and decide witch one I will keep.

Can it be adjusted the reverse of that? 1.5 Lbs 1st stage and 8 oz 2nd stage?

In order to get my CG Xtreme adjusted the way I wanted it, I had to get Tom to send me some heavier springs than the ones provided with the trigger...

Well i can't wait to see what it does with hornady. My 10tr with hornady superformance match a-max 168gr. Grouped .68" yesterday!

I was wondering what does the total package weight rifle scope, bipod and mag?

Most of my LR shooters like the 168gr match Hornady best. But.....there are a lot of opinions.

I have a better idea. I'll pay to ship your Cadex out so I can try some ammo and then I'll ship it Bach with "some" of that ammo for you.... Yup yup...

The thing is I'm a giver, I give till it hurts, then I give a little more...

This is a head scratcher most two stages don't have the 2nd stage as the heavy stage for the trigger. Can Patrice weigh in here, i am wondering if they got the springs reversed in your trigger.

Typically the trigger is designed as follows
1st stage has the heavy spring as the shooter is getting into position setting up for the shot. no AD at this point
2nd stage has the lighter spring when the shooter is in their final position and wants to break the shot.

There are a number of situations with the reverse weight system Cadex in employing where it could go wrong. If you were in a cold environment and wearing gloves the 8oz first stage could unknowingly be taken up while getting into position or high stress situations (competition for me).

I must be missing something here

I have spoken to Patrice at length about it on the phone. It was designed that way because that is what the military wanted. Cadex did some experimentation for me to see if they could make their trigger work the other way, but it was not possible, unfortunately.

They were able to get it to work with a 2lb. first stage and a 1 lb. second stage for a total of 3lbs. Normally, their second stage cannot go below 1.5 lbs.

On the CG Xtreme, I only needed to change out the first stage spring to get a heavier first stage. The second stage did not change from 8 oz. when I did. I now have 2lbs. 2oz on the first stage, for a total pull of 2lbs. 10oz.
