Showoff your SHORTY 12G SHOTTY (14" or under and Mods)!

geez I can only imagine the 3", the 2 3/4 out of my 12.5" were a blast to say the least...

I've been carrying these, don't know how well they work because luckily, I've never had to use them. They are pretty accurate and fly nice and flat out of my 20" barrel.

Might as well.

870 Police Magnum, 14" MOD Barrel, S&J 1+.

100 rounds and counting now. Crappy phone pic as my camera has piled.

Here it is with the 14" Police barrel (I will replace this picture when the Police furniture and WM barrel arrive):

This is ####ing beautiful!!! Nicest one I have seen.

Yeah I wouldn't sell either of the two pictured. I'de sell off my rifles and other project / hobby items beforehand.

I prefer the stock synthetic on the police gun. It's solid. I'de still have that one. I like the wood in original 4 shot like that.

No this is one that another guy posted in this thread. I love the wood, that's a beautiful shotgun.

Yeah I get you now. Probably replace the rifle sights with a bead thou eh?

So have you bought the furniture and have a 14" barrel to go on?

Edit: Am still confused ha ha ha.

Please explain what you plan on doing and what parts you have?

Dude you got me confused. I was just browseing the thread and saw the pic of that gun and commented on how much i liked it. Im not buying anything yet. I did ask him if he is selling the exact gun in the pic but no reply yet.

Ha ha ha ha I've tried to delete my posts.

Just put .... And we can forget all about it. Maybe the mods will delete the post's ha ha ha

Here's the Valtro updates (sans mag)... Took some machining to get the Mesa Tactical LEO stock adapter on, but now I have adjustable LOP using AR stocks. I also opted to go with the Umbrella Corp P23 grip (now made by B5 products) as it is more vertical and helped with the angle of the pistol grip vs. the stock.

The Holosun 403C has stood up to 400 slugs and target loads without losing zero, so it's looking like a winner too.

I ran this at the Tactical Shotgun match earlier this month and took third in Open class. Pretty happy as it was my first match and only second time running the Valtro. I suspect things will improve as my manipulation of it smooths out. I can tell you I was getting envious glares from the handful of guys wrestling with their frequently malfunctioning box-fed shotguns from other manufacturers...

Anyone know ANYTHING about the externally threaded chokes this originally shipped with? I tried the external choke from mi amigos FABARM, it was close but didn't *quite* fit. I'll clean up with this thing if I can get chokes to tighten my shot patterns up at distance... Cylinder Bore at 13.5 inches isn't much for patterning at 25m!!!

Nice one Phat! Custom is always good.

Supposed to be an awesome shotgun. If I see it on sale somewhere I might jump on it but don't feel like spending $900+tax on anything right now.

Like you, my 14" 590A1 & Fabarm Pro Forces 14" aren't going anywhere.

Been thinking about that Nova Tac 14" lately. Expensive but nice. The stock is a put off for me but it can be changed out for a COMFORTECH

Stolen image not mine.

Maybe just maybe. With the recent Bear entry incident local to us. The wife is all about the guns.

Looks great! How much machining was required? And how was the cheek weld with the red dot before and after?

The cheek weld with the standard stock wasn't great. Even with the AR stock it's not high enough, hence the 3/4" riser. Now it's PERFECT.

It took two or three hours of machining with a milling machine, plus some work with a drill press. That said, I'm no expert machinist. My father-in-law guided me through the process. Certainly nothing to attempt with a dremel!

Now all I need are some chokes!!

So just match the angle of the adapter to the receiver and we're good to go?
Any luck with chokes? Does any other shotgun use the same chokes?
Probably too many questions but I just received a new brixia yesterday!

Pretty much... I used a Mesa Tactical LEO for the 870... It's pretty close, but needs a fair bit machined off, then drilled out to accommodate the thicker post the stock bolts into. Not sure if there is any difference between my old Valtro and the new Brixia models.

Is yours threaded for external chokes too? I've not found any compatible chokes yet...
