Have you always wanted an MP5K-ish gun?- Introducing the Lusa 9mm Restricted!

Anyone else having trouble like this with their Lusa?

I've tried 115 and 124 gr ammo, ran it with a light coat of gun oil, then gun grease and even dry. I ran it with my home made mp5 stock and then in its original config with no stock. I've also used all of my 3 mags and it's the same with all of them.

Same issues no matter what I do.

Usually it just fails to extract or eject but the odd time it doesn't feed and a few times failed to fire on a full chamber with no blockages.

It jams 2-3 times on a 5 round mag.

On a positive note, it's cheap to run as it takes a long time to empty a mag :)

Here's one of several quick vids taken yesterday.

Any ideas?

Definitely frustrating in a new toy. Have you checked the extractor and the ejector? I had something similar in another gun. Turned out the extractor was binding, so the spent casing was sometimes not properly held in place to hit the ejector.

I'm no expert either lol, but if you are in the Vancouver area, would love to have a look at it. Was VERY tempted to buy one of these lol. The extractor should be pretty easy to spot because it has to be close to the bolt face right next to where the round would be seated. For my problem gun, the extractor was very hard to move - compared to my other guns, so I knew it was binding. I should have been able to move it with very firm finger pressure and definitely by pushing using a brass punch to push against it.

Hey VanMan, Ive looked inside but hell Im no expert at this gun.. But its definitely having both extraction and ejection issues.

Reminds me of mine (1st one in Canada) but it's much better now, all I did was make sure it was really well lubed. Still get the odd FTE but only seldom. Tried my new one and it worked fine with my reloads, no FTEs. Do you know of anyone close to you who also bought one? Would be interesting to swap bolts.

Hey Steve, whats up with the Lusa rep in the US?

Its been a while now since this problem was brought up.

How many mags do you have? Does it FTE on all mags (sorry just read your post again - all mags). Could be a mag catch to high tho.

Try loading from the mag, and then removing the mag to fire the round. This could isolate if it's a mag issue.

Sorry if that doesn't help so much. It's about all I can think off.

Just watched you video that would make me absolutely crazy I feel bad you man as I wanted Lusa myself......same thing happened to me with my pheonix bxp came home from the Range listed it on EE within an hour as a jam-o-match for sale......very disheartening with such a sweet looking firearm hope the problem is resolved

That sucks for those with issues! I guess it's a crap shoot getting a good one. Mine hasn't had a malfunction yet! It runs like a sewing machine on all ammo and wet or dry:)))
I was able to add an air soft MP5 stock with an evening of fitting and it's much easier to aim. I also grinder a notch out to keep the bolt open like on an MP5; works like a charm!!! All I need now are more mags!!!!!!!!

Re Phoenix BXP, mine would fire 1st rd then skip over 2nd. Have 2 mags and finally got one to feed properly. Mags are extremely rare and no other mag will fit.

Recce, can you post a pic of where you ground the notch? Would like to do it too. Tx.

Would you be able to share a close-up picture of that notch... I was thinking to do the same, wasn't sure if it had enough play to twist and catch a notch...

Posting these pics for Recce: Lusa with MP5 airsoft stock. Will post pics of notch for lock open on last rd when I get them.
