Fake Cans and barrle shrouds

It would probly be easier to pick out a handful of NR rifles like the rediculous barrel on the XCR and make several of diff lengths. I myself think that all XCR owners would love to cover that extra foot of barrel up. I'd be in for one for my T97

Looks like we have a lot of interest in this project.
We have a few more weeks if solid work on the lathe for our shotgun magazine tubes then we can get right on this.
While we do own a very large amount of rifles, both shop guns and owned by the s&j partners , we mag ask to borrow an upper or ask for help with sizeing up lengths depths.
we can promise a high quality product as a good price.
Unlike some other Canadian companies we don,t Beta test on our customers. Ever...
So there will be a design stage, prototype..and T&E. Before production starts .
That said something the same as the spikes tactical should be no problem at all in 223 and 308.

One question

Hard anodized black or high heat ceramic coating for a finish.
Anodized is costly but covers inside and out.
Ceramic coating /paint like what you would see on a Sig p90 or a hk mp5 /g3 but will be bo finish on the inside of the fake can. But cheaper cost overall and can offer colors other then black.

Simon, I want to convert a swiss arms to non restricted so exactly what you said there about a SAN PE90 barrel being covered with a faux shroud is what I'm looking for.

This is what I'm looking for:

I'm in for one for my Robinson Arms XCRL 223 non-restricted. If you want I can ship out my upper as our range will not be very accessible during winter months. So, won't be in a rush at all

for something like that VZ project, I would do it but id want to borrow a gun from someone that had already moved back and installed the new sight tower.
we would offer a few of the fake cans for free and pay the shipping back.
something to think about.

Once I get my new post in, I'd have it installed fairly quickly, and would be more than happy to send mine in as a prototype. How long would you need it for?

This is neat, Id be interested in one for my xcr l-223. what are the chances of being able to build a flash hider/comp into it, or would that drive the price through the roof? Thought would be then it doesnt just look cool, it has a function too. Totally out of my depth here so my apologies if its a stupid question.

The issue is, if for any reason there is a sound reduction, even 1Db then we are in a lot of S**T so just have to play with that and see.

That could work very well for us both, keep checking this thread, when we get closer to that we will be in contact

Hmmm. So if i buy an AR with a really loud obnoxious brake and i swap it out for something quieter, or remove it completely, does that mean i'm breaking the law?

Do you understand the concept of what a suppressor is and thus what makes a suppressor prohibited?

Yes i do and it was a rhetorical question. But i think my point is valid. How do you measure a reduction in sound. From what point is it quieter? Bare muzzle? If one brake is quieter than another is it considered a suppressing device? Or is it in the marketing (like magazines)? Don't sell it as a fake can, market it as a REALLY long muzzle brake?

Are you able to make something like a blast shield? They seem to be legal since the Griffon Armories product is in Canada. But at a better than 200 plus price which the GA ones are.
