well, I hope you get everything all cleared up to your satisfaction!
Let me paint you a picture. Let say Johnny Jimbob has been hunting in his favorite area all morning and hasn't seen a dam thing! He's wondering what the hell to do! He pours a cup of luke warm coffee from his thermose and decides to eat his lunch with it while thinking, a nice dark toasted cheese whiz sandwich on rye. Yeah, he thinks to himself, I'll move on over to my second best hunting area. Maybe the deer are over there, cuz they sure as hell ain't here! He gets going in his F-150, no make that a Jeep, I like Jeeps, Fords not so much. The rifle is unloaded laying on the seat, action is open, (it saves a few seconds, just in case)

, not trigger locked, not cased cuz it don't have to be. All of a sudden he see's a fine looking buck standing over there bout 100 yards out in a clearing! It's bucks only, by the way this year! He knows he's on a non maintained trail and it's legal to shoot from. What do you think happens? Johnny is a dead eye #### cracker jack shot, by the way! He's out with both feet firmly planted on the ground away from the Jeep aiming free hand, the shot rings out, the buck is down, a instant kill, head shot! Johnny's got venison! Like I said, it happens!
Another picture. Jimmy Jetman has the same thing happen to him, no deer in his favorite hunting area, he has his coffee & lunch (balonie sandwich) and moves on to another hunting area. He's not sure of the rules and what's legal or not, so his rifle is trigger locked and cased in a locked case and placed behind the seat with the package of port-a-pottie bags on top of it. He see's a fine buck standing in a clearing and says out loud to himself, golly look-it that, I should snap a pic of that with my ph camera, It's gotta be ok to shoot it with a camera even if I'm within a 100 ft of my vehicle, isn't it? No steak for Jimmy! Jimmy doesn't mind! Jimmy's having a nice day in the bush and that's what counts for Jimmy.
Now, please go away and sniffle somewhere else. Oh gosh, I'm sorry, I see it's your thread! My apologies.
