Colt Canada IUR 15.7 PREMIUM CARBINE

Do you need to check headspace with the milspec BCG? I am hearing conflicting stories, but most are saying as long as it's high quality you don't. Just trying to get it right the first time, guys at CGN seem to generally know what's what.

I have never checked headspace on an AR15 and i would hazard a WAG that 99% of people who own one or have replaced a bolt haven't either.

Should you? Maybe, but generally it's a non-issue.

These ones were the IUR upper/Diemaco Lowers/High Standard BCG's from SFRC

Their page reads " genuine Colt Canada bolt carrier and charging handle (CF Style)". So I don't know which BCG its going to come with?
Was this another complete IUR they sold like the one that came with the Omni lower?

what do you mean? it comes with a Diemaco BCG as per the site's description?

They have a couple different options available. The IUR with the Omni lower is about $1000 vs the Diemaco lower and CC BCG at $1599 and there were different BCGs available too

Some buyers earlier in this thread are getting High Standard BCGs. Not that there is anything wrong with a high standard. I have one in another IUR that's has never given me any trouble.
Just wanted to know what was up with all the different "complete" IUR's.

i hope mine comes with a Diemaco BCG as it led me to believe on their site. Id rather have NO BCG in my IUR if I am not to get a Diemaco BCG. Id just throw in a NiB one if that were the case. Once i get my IUR, how do I confirm if its a genuine Diemaco or not?

I believe it should have CC stamped on it.

Some retailers started putting IUR and Advanced lowers together with a generic milspec BCGs to sell as a package. "Premium Carbines"

Colt Canada, through O'Dell's, who then shipped to dealers, released complete IUR Uppers on Advanced lowers, with CC BCGs and CF charging handle.

Two different retail options produced at two different levels.

CC/Diemaco offerings are a little hard to follow lol... just on SFRC:

- SA15.7 = 2000$
- SA20 = 1800$
- complete IUR (CC bcg & ch) = 1600$
- Enhanced lower = 900$
- IUR upper (no bcg or ch) = 900$
- blem IUR upper (no bcg or ch) = 560$

only way all of this would sorta make sense is if these complete IUR were blemished upper IMHO; you could build one (without a bcg and ch) with a blem IUR yourself for 1460$ and with an new IUR for 1800$.
now I need to sell my ACR to get me one of these lol

And CF charging handle. And it is out of the last 150 IURs they have.

Yeah, the fun part is the photo they sent just shows the top of the BCG, not the side, so you can't see any stamping that might be on it, lol

Requested a clearer photo, we'll post them up proper with updated specs as soon as I get that from them

Yes. Except they sold with Diemaco lowers. Wish I had waited for the full CC rifle, but I'm sure this will be a good combo.

Is the $1599 IUR on SFRC the premium or the Colt Canada complete IUR?
I'm not sure what is what as some dealers seem to have both, one or none.

I just want to clarify if the iur are shipping with milspec bcg. Because iirc the sa20/sa15.7 were not a proper milspec bcg, or am I wrong?
