Tradex has a large selection of Schultz and Larson .22s again...

^^^ Hey fella, how ya likin' a stock that has slotted, Phillips, Robertson, and Allen screws all at once? If'n you want more than one drive, slots all around with hex on the adjustment screws would be the norm.

Looks great otherwise. Did you mill the butt or is it a set part?

Haha. I was hoping that no one would notice. :) I'm giving the rifle to my girl friend this Friday at our clubs xmas shoot so she can use it in the small bore rifle class. I had to use the fasteners that I had on hand.

I made the butt hardware from 1/2" thick aluminum flat stock. Most of the fitting was done by hand with a file but all the mill work was done on my Sherline vertical mill. I also milled out the trigger guard on the Sherline.

Thanks buddy. Makes me feel a little better about spending 100+ hours on it. lol

Hey Kona, I just saw your posts, good job !
I really like the parts you made, especially the trigger guard.

I began to finish the stock about a week ago, should be completed in a couple weeks.
The wood on mine will not win a contest but shouldn't be too ugly ;)

This week progress...

- Completely rebuilt/repaired sight ( had a slightly bent windage screw/shaft, its straight now )
- 5th coat of Danish oil applied, it begin to have a bit of shine. Will apply the 6th coat tomorrow
- Threaded bolt handle

I ordered a more shinny bolt handle to go with the rifle bluing. Should have it in a week or 2.

Spare rear sling swivel + screw if anyone need it... I know these were missing on some rifles.

I tried the spare springs I ordered and they are too weak.
I have a lot of 2mm BB for the sight if anyone lose one like I did.

4 coat of Danish oil ( pic taken just before i applied the 5th )

purists? I believe in a personal sense of satisfaction. Who cares what the "experts" say. Have you seen my fully refinished M69? :) purists cringe but I've had many compliments.

Its mostly completed.

I still not sure I will keep that bolt knob or order a 1 inch round bakelite knob.
I would like to find an inexpensive adjustable Iris.

There is 10 coats of Danish oil on the stock.
Last coats need alot of drying time.
I'm pretty happy with the result.

I hope you enjoy !

ben...nice work! If it's looking for a new home in the future let me know:)

Thank you, it was a fun winter project.

I'm tempted to buy another one as well but I think I might let the chance to other CGN members.

If you don't have one yet, grab one asap !

Well I caved....the nice ones were going fast, and they only seem to come once a year.... can't snooze on these rifles.
