Shooting ducks on the water? :)

This thread has more life than the titty thread they camouflage with guns. You all think we can band together and have some power but cant agree that a legal act of duck hunting, which some consider despicable and only for low life hunters.
You wonder why the antis are winning?

Someone who understands!! Kudos my friend.

Shooting Ducks On The Water:

I would not unless they are crippled. Way too much fun watching them hit the water, especially Canvasbacks. Not to mention that it's just not sporting, JMO.

Nothing I hate more than grouse breasts with pellets, BUT if that's all you got I love them better than nothing. Thanks and keep them coming.

####! We shooting penguins now, Since they don't fly are we shooting on the water or on the land which is more sporting?

Years ago I found a real hot spot, flooded bean field that the ducks were feeding in, went there after work with a friend. He was at the edge of the field while I put a few decoys out. While I was in the water, the ducks started coming in. I stood still, waiting for my friend to shoot first while a couple of hundred ducks landed all around me. It wasn't long before they took off again without a shot fired.

So I guess I don't shoot at them swimming or flying! :)

Wow..... You are definitely sporting.... Lol

I dont get this idea where we are expected to accept that if its legal, its ok.

Justin Trudeau, Katherine Wynne and Rachel Notley get to decide whats legal....are they the ones who guide your moral compass?

Its legal for Indians to pitlamp deer, does that mean its ok?

I will answer your question with another question...

Many in here want to dictate where another's moral compass should point... Is that ok?

Legal does not mean it's moral, and moral does not equal legal. The two are not related, however in the world we live in, laws are what limits our actions, for the most part.

I wish people would see the difference and learn to think for themselves, instead of being told what's right, and what's wrong, then blindly following it. The worst part is when an individual thinks he has the right to judge or condemn others based upon his own beliefs.

This.... I can honestly say i have done things around animals and guns that were not legal because my morals made me and the penalty of turning the other cheek and obeying the law would have left me dealing with my conscience, to the point where the conscience penalty would far outweigh any fine penalty..... I can always make more money or sell off a gun to pay a fine...... But a bad moral decision is something I have to live with for the rest of my life.....

Why should this sport somehow be exempt from the concept of sportsmanship, and when did the idea of hunter ethics become something that cant be discussed because we afraid of being seen as judgemental.

I feel confidant saying that a pit lamping Indian is not a sportsman, not a steward of the land and is most certainly not a gentleman.

I was raised that sportsmen shoot birds on the wing...anything less is not fair chase.
