ACR questions

GHW will be selling an off the shelf kit. havent heard anything from Herron Arms. And I did try asking them questions and they were never answered.

So GHW will get my money and if its like all their other products I will not be disappointed.
It is on their website

http://www.herronarms.ca/tavor-conversions.php

Has GHW been able to make both subsonic and full power loads cycle? I also have only seen a 16" barrel from them making it restricted?

I guess the appeal is that they have sourced or made the parts that Herron has been unable to get from IWI rendering your 223 barrel useless.

I have not had issues contacting Ian for any of my conversions through him, sometimes it takes a little while to get a reply but understandable for a one man show. might be worth another try as it says he is working on a full kit for some time now

Nah they started popping up not long after the first ones were delivered. When you can pick one up for under $3500 and it's barely been fired its worth consideration.
buyers remorse, you see this pretty much with every new rifle that comes out on this site and it is usually the same people over and over. always buying the latest and greatest and then sell a week after getting it.

But there were some good deals in Nov and December this year and not just on this forum. Lots of people are hurting for cash now, good time to buy if you have money.

None really started popping up until after the election, to me that wold be the biggest driver, that and the continuing decline of economy here in AB.

There's were several that were for sale pre election. However I would agree the election is possibly a big reason for the increase in those recently offered for sale. Either way I don't care, it's a chance to get one at significantly reduced cost, tinker and play.

Yes he had both ammo working from what I read on the FB posts, But I couldn't care less about subsonic ammo. The issue is to get it running perfectly with a suppressor, which again is something I don't care about.

What I do care about is having a drop in kit that doesn't require my current parts.

Already been done. TVPP had a prototype to test, we have done quite a few improvements since then.
Check here for more.
http://albertatacticalrifle.com/why-us/testimonials Scroll down to a review by both TVPP and Ardent from CGN.
The review by TVPP was unfortunately done under far less than ideal conditions and on a short timeframe due to having to meet a deadline for Caliber Magazine. There will be yet another professional review coming out soon by Al Voth, but I am not certain which magazine it will be in..
Rob Furlong has 1 and we have only heard good things from him about it, although I doubt he will publish a review.

Al Voth is the Editor for NFA Can. Firearms Journal.

Yep, I noticed that too.

I'm still beside myself with awe at the price I picked up my ACR from Wanstalls.......sick price :) glad I jumped on it and now I eagerly await to make it NR, muahahahahahaha!!!!!!

Im hoping the same will happen with the MV, People will put them up on EE with some major savings, I try to buy all my rifles used to save money :)

Now that My ACR build is complete, I need something new to spend my money on... lol... and not having AR's really sucks.
