i have begun to save money.
Also never heard of any Americans upset they couldn't have a Norinco especially when the can buy an actual AK not a Chinese rip off
congrats on FINALLY having something americans can be really jealous of, and not just being strictly jealous of lower prices on things we can get
Damn. Overall I like the US gun laws, but now and then you guys up there get some sweet options.
I saw the title, then I see that it's for Canada and I'm a burger...
Congrats guys, enjoy them!
Hahah right...
News hit another messageboard I frequent that the Type 81's care coming to Canada, and the Americans on the board seem pretty jealous
copy+paste from said msgboard
I may be gloating on a US sks board. It is kind of fun.
Whatever floats your boat... I wouldn't own any of that Chinese crap if it was given to me. Had few several years ago. Fit and finish is crap. Shot okay but they fell apart. I guess they are okay to people that don't know any better... lmao Also never heard of any Americans upset they couldn't have a Norinco especially when the can buy an actual AK not a Chinese rip off. You keep your Norinco's I will keep my Springfield's, Knights and other quality firearms...
News flash:
Americans do not get the "actual AKs". What they get is subpar Romanian parts kit. If you get a Russian AK, Chinese AK or even a Hungarian AK in numbers then we talk, but before then make sure to call them for what they really are: Romanian Parts Kit.
You know that there are several ak that were imported over the years into the US. Russian, chinese etc right?
There are parts kits, new guns made by US manufactures from nothing, and existing old stock complete guns that were as imported years ago on the used market.
The news flash is I don't think you actually know what all is available on the US market. There is a wide variety of ak products.
But this is isn't an AK thread. And we don't have them so it's a mute point either way.
Why don't you go on Gunbroker right now and find me an ass load of Chinese AKs and Russian AKs, Izhmash stamped AK and not a converted Saiga or a US manufactured AK.
Yes several "were" imported but they aren't being imported anymore and as such they are not easily spotted on the market. I know very well what is available in the US, probably better than you and I find it very amusing that you consistently post your assumptions rather than facts.
All I know is that the rifle is pretty cool , and I have never bought Chinese before but this might be a first.
Will these be coming with folding stocks
Maybe not related to this, but how the hell did the Type 81 get approved? Any links to more info?
Because it doesn't share any parts with an ak. And isn't a variant of anything prohibited. And isnt easily converted to full auto.
Plenty of talk already about its operating system here on cgn. Or Google.
Yeah I got off my butt and did some searching. Kalashnikov derivative, not a variant.
Strange, the look would be enough to get it prohibited before, same with restricted on the MKA1919 and the MK10. Things are looking up for once
