Im sure MPI stocks have come a long ways since I started fitting and finishing mine probably 5+ years ago.

That project got put off to the side for a number of years while I worked on other stuff.

The stock is at a point now where Im waiting for the weather to warm up so I can get out and spray some color on it.

Haha, you either get it or you don't. If you don't I can't see a No. 1 being an ideal rifle for you, walnut or synthetic.

There is nothing wrong with synthetics on a #1.......It was the least expensive way as the previous owner had butchered the original wood and I found this set at the local gunshow in Whitehorse for 100 bucks. Made a good serviceable hunting rifle in 7mm-300 Wby with 3.5-10 Leupold and a 28" Bevan King barrel installed by Bevan.
